Black Women Build: Generational Wealth through Homeownership
Homeownership has long been seen as the path to the middle class. Shelley Halstead, founder of Black Women Build, is on a mission to use homeownership as a tool for building generational wealth for black women. Carpenter, law school graduate, former firefighter and construction worker, Halstead combines her unique skill set to train women to build, buy and restore row homes in Baltimore.
Join Kayo Founder and host, Lindsay Burton, and featured trailblazer Shelley Halstead, Black Women Build, as they discuss how Shelley developed Black Women Build, what obstacles she has faced and what her vision for the future is today.
