OCTOBER 8-9, 2024

Part of the 11th Annual Private Equity Series

The Kayo Women in Private Funds Summit unites an intimate group of 150 General Partners and Limited Partners. Over the course of two days, attendees will make connections during 1:1 meetings, speed networking and experiential activities such as a Welcome Walk through the Boston Common.  30+ expert speakers will share insights across alternative asset allocations, capital raising, fund formation, product strategy and institutional investing.

The smaller event size allows a 2:1 ratio of GPs to LPs.  75+ Limited Partners will enjoy a special agenda, with closed-door, LP-only sessions, a VIP-lounge and educational content.

what’s new

Carrots LPs Might Bite: Co-Investment & Other Ideas

Trying to attract a new LP, or even re-up an existing one, is not easy in this environment! Offering co-investment can be a wonderful carrot. However, as more LPs accept the carrot, it creates a giant puzzle for GPs to assemble. Balancing bite sizes, different approval processes and timelines, underwriting involvement, etc means it can be hard to please everyone. As offering co-investment becomes more the “norm”, this panel of GPs and LPs will share how to get organized, improve communications, increase certainty and ease the burden on deal teams. We’ll also explore what other sweeteners appeal to LPs in today’s market.

This panel will dive deep into the benefits, pitfalls and changes happening in GP-Led Secondaries.

Private Credit: A Larger Role to Play?

Surveys suggest many LPs believe private credit funds have a larger role to play in their portfolio and fundraising data supports that trend. Private debt defied the fundraising drought hitting other areas of private markets, growing 10% in 2023. A combination of stock losses, rising interest rates, inflation, and projected lower private equity returns has sparked investor interest in the asset class. This panel of institutional investors will share insights into the role private credit has to play in their portfolio.
